Two mums, who love cooking for their families

As parents we know how hard it is bringing up a family, with work pressures, being a taxi service for the kids, attending school productions and trying to fit this around putting a healthy plate of food on the table for your family.

Well thats where we come in!!!! By making your life easier and providing a  home cooked family meal (just as you would at home-so guilt free), made using local ingredients and eco-friendly packaging (no black plastic here!).


Born and raised in the Chew Valley and inspired by food from a young age. 'My earliest memories are of standing on tip toes, peering over the kitchen worktop to watch my grandmother whisk up some amazing culinary dishes'. Inspired by her, and latterly her mother, Katie went on to achieve a degree in nutrition, which set her foundations for her Cordon Bleu training and allowed her to work in some inspirational top end restaurants.

Tired working for other people, but her experience and passion growing, Katie set up her own outside catering company 20 years ago, which currently includes cooking for a stunning wedding venue set in the heart of Somerset.



Born and being raised on a farm in Chew Stoke, has given Lizzie her passion about local community, and utilizing the amazing produce that the Chew Valley has to offer.

Lizzie's' career started in Bristol achieving a nursing degree and going on to work for the NHS including working on the wards and in research. She latterly worked in the local community for Chew Stoke Medical Surgery as a practice nurse, but inspired by travels her real passion was for food, and after a heart to heart conversation with her hubby 'Home from Home', an outdoor cafe based in our garden was born.

The cafe successfully ran for 3 years but sadly had to close due to its popularity and outgrowing the premises. Putting their heads together they realized there was a real desire for some decent, guilt free home cooked local food, hence 'Home to Home' was born!!
